He has also resigned from 47 directorships, some of which went bust shortly after, (one with debts of £28 million.) He has been made bankrupt with debts of more than £3 million. What with him, Bob Diamond, Paul Flowers of the Co-op, and others, I love the idea of having to pay these people astronomical salaries plus bonuses 'because we have to pay for the best.' He was reappointed by the conservatives. Caplin should have declared himself bankrupt. He didn't (probably). This is not Dave's fault and mischievous to suggest otherwise. Now it is known he is bankrupt he's gone. End of problem. Seem a little harsh - you can have a job until you really need a job - then you're fired.
