oxjamsheff!
Oxjam Music Festival is returning to Sheffield this October! Firstly, if you don't already know what Oxjam is... 'Oxjam is based on the Camden Crawl festival model and it relys on a geographically close cluster of live music venues, each showcasing different genres of local talent. Punters buy a wristband which will afford access to each venue, so you can go from one to another and sample the best of local talent within easy reach of each other. All acts give up a few hours of their life, but get months of exposure and promotion and the warm fuzzy feeling that comes from helping people living in the very worst conditions globally. Venues have to be prepared to accept our crowd for the night, but don't charge us and many donate a proportion of bar takings. The Oxjam teams are people with professional skills and experiences, but working as volunteers. The success of the event is made possible by the thousands of people who get involved and do their bit...so whether you're a musician, twitter fiend, website designer or a grinning dancing audience member, we need you!' Applications for the (voluntary) roles of Events & Fundraising Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, Production Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator are now open. If you would like to apply for any of these roles please contact oxjam.sheffield@gmail.com or inbox this page directly to be sent the role profiles. We're also going to need a whole host of other volunteers to get involved through the summer and during October so get in touch if you'd like to get stuck in and help raise money for a great cause. Band applications will open shortly - in the meantime feel free to get in contact via oxjam.sheffield@gmail.com to be added to our band database! Local Music.
