Manrique Foundation, Lanzarote

Dont let me down forumites!! We are at the Papagayo end of Playa Blanca in Lanzarote and want to go to the Manrique Foundation place, no trips are running there from here, so......any suggestions on the cheapest way to do it, presumably by bus, not much info avail ont interweb so have already tried that, hubby thinks I am bonkers asking you lot, but I have told him you are all fonts of knowledge!!

Sorry don't know Lanzarote. But in Tenerife if there's four of you, it's often almost same price to go somewhere in a taxi. I'd ask local bar staff/waiting staff for their take on it.

You could try Trip Advisor, "The (English) woman at the Information kiosk told us that the most reliable way to get to the Cesar Manrique Fonadacion was to get a taxi both ways. For 30 Euros he took us there, gave us an hour and a bit to look round, then brought us back to the town centre. We thought this was very reasonable. Apparently the buses are infrequent and not reliable so we were quite happy, especially as the cruise trips didn't go there."

Thanks Blackbeard and Mr Bloom, just the two of us, so taxi will be expensive, considering trying to do it by bus!

You can get a bus from Playa Blanca to Arrecife, from there it's a short taxi ride away.

Have you thought of hiring a car, you can see several places on the island in just a day and probably as cheap as a taxi. It is definateley worth seeing, been 3 times :-) Have fun.
