CARL HUTCHINSON

Carl was runner up in the Sheffield Comedy Festival First Laugh Competition in 2009 and since then has go on to be one of the rising stars of UK comedy. Though he may be young, no skinny jeans or fancy hair for this young lad, just great material delivered in a superb dry deadpan style.

Carl has been crowned the ‘Magners Pub Comedian of the Year’ and the winner of the ‘Beat the Frog World Series’ competition. He also reached the final of ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ and been nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award.

Carl’s debut Edinburgh show, ‘Acceptable’ was shortlisted for an ‘Amused Moose Laughter Award 2012’, and he will be returning to the Festival this August with an exciting new hour of stand-up, showcasing his own brand of effortlessly charming but characteristically dry comedy.

Over the past two years, Carl has supported both Mick Foley and Chris Ramsey on their sell-out tours. Carl will continue to support Chris Ramsey on his new tour The Most Dangerous Man on Saturday Morning Television.

“Effortlessly hilarious. He captivates the audience with his perfectly timed suspenseful silences and plain-talking sense-making.” Three Weeks

“His act was very dry but immensely sharp with an underlying energy which wasn’t obviously rehearsed like many others I have seen on the circuit.” Weekend Post

“His tone and manner was very funny as he was almost argumentative.” BBC Comedy

WES ZAHARUK

“Tommy Cooper on acid. Channel 4

Master of mayhem, prop lunatic Wes Zaharuk, takes audience on a joy-ride of frenzy machine-gun anarchic physical comedy routines and maniac physical audience interaction. Wes is easily one of the most exciting acts on the comedy circuit. If you like to laugh out loud you won’t want to miss this show.

Canadian Wes appeared across the USA and Canada before basing himself in the UK. As well as North America, he’s brought his eccentric collection of prop tricks to (amongst other countries) Germany, Israel, Cyprus, Denmark, Australia and Singapore. He has a wealth of experience in both the club and corporate worlds across North America and Europe.

Wes Zaharuk credits his comic roots to his parents. They made ‘not listening’ an Olympic event. As a child, his parents dressed him in wool pants that were incredibly itchy. Complain as he would, his words fell on deaf ears. When he developed a skin condition that looked like a large, all-dressed pizza, he was tested for allergies. It was found that he was allergic to wool. Through it all, Wes developed his desire to be heard — if only to reduce rash.

About the use of props, such as vacuums, whips, and blowers, in his performance Wes quips ‘Show business sometimes lures people who didn’t get enough love early in life. I feel as a child I didn’t get enough unsupervised time with power tools but who has perfect parents?’

“Twin Peaks meets Cirque Du Soleil” Toronto Sun

“A rib-ticking dive into the surreal.” Channel 4

AL MCWILLIAM

Al, has been a comedian for the past two years and has quickly developed a reputation as a quick witted, confident performer. He has a unique view on the world and combines a wonderful blend of observation and story telling.

MARTIN MOR

Martin comes from Northern Ireland, and after a successful career as a circus performer, he turned his attention on the unsuspecting comedy circuit. With over 25 years experience as a professional performer, Martin has established himself as one of the UK’s most popular and in-demand comedians.

A truly global performer, Martin has worked throughout the known world performing his shows extensively in Britain, Ireland, The USA, Italy, Holland, Germany, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Mainland China.

“Martin is the act that has influenced me the most, the UK comedy circuit would not be the same without him.” Frankie Boyle.

"Explosive visual comedian who should carry a Government health warning." City Life.
