geared
I've never heard of it before so why suddenley should it become more of an issue? Probably because medical research has found out more about how important Vitamin D really is, so now Doctors are starting to make sure people have the correct amount. Maz3
The only way to get Vitamin D levels topped up is via direct sunlight (ie. not filtered through glass or clothing) or in tablet form, as very few foods provide meaningful amounts of the vitamin. People with dark skins living in cooler climates, or who cover up a lot of their skin or don't go out much, should consider taking vitamin D tablets, at least in winter. Vitamin D deficiency in the form of rickets is on the increase.
