moke Posted May 16, 2014 Share Posted May 16, 2014 Henry's did well for me in the euros - big screen in the back yard, and a very good range of local and national ales - 10+ pumps. i always think it's an underrated pub amongst the real ale crowd - seems underused and overlooked. probably because it's clean and modern looking, and women / younger people also feel welcome in there.... Why would I pay for that when I can get better stuff down the road? It may improve when (if?) the brewey tap opens. But as an aside to this Henry's don't usually show the football any more do they? I was told once by a member of staff in there that they didn't put it on as it attracted the 'wrong type of crowd'. And it wasn't that I'd asked for a game on Sky or owt. We have had to compromise and are going to Rawson Spring - they have a selection of real ales that are good priced and they have a large screen!! Not great but there if you have nothing else!
