biggo1984
Bit of a random post this one.. Just wondering if any sf members were ever part of the squadron based at Southey school? Maybe anyone has any stories to share of their time there and if it was the same as when I was a member and had the status of a kind of 'dad's army' division.. Had some good times there
Sam @ Dearne
No, but I was in 218 Rotherham Sqn. We kicked ass back in the day, won 3 drill cups in a row. Loved every minute of it.
biggo1984
We were useless at the drill comps.. Just noticed I wrote squadron instead of "corps" too.. Damn spiced rum ha ha
alanfergus
I went to the 370 ATC. Had great times flying and gliding at Linholm, Honiton etc. I remember representing ATC in the mile race against the army cadets and wet necks. I was there around 1963/
little malc
I was a member of 376 Squadron based at the Brushes. I remember acting as steward at RAF Norton during open day and watching the fly past. The MK24 Spitfire that used to be the gate guardian at Norton is now in RAF Hendon museum.
