Mister M
My question kinda goes hand in hand with the thread I started about feeling pressured to vote for a particular party. I'm interested in the reasons why some people hate the Tory party. On the radio while driving to work, I heard again the comments of someone saying their family always votes labour. However this person was saying they wanted to make their own decision, which made me smile. In conjunction with this another your woman was saying she would not vote because the parties say they will do one thing but change their mind a few months after being elected. I was annoyed the interviewer didn't push her on this question and ask for examples as I'm adamant she was just regurgitating other peoples comments. That's a complaint of lots of people on here about Labour voters: that "my grandparents, parents voted Labour, I will too". The same posters never complain about people whose grandparents and parents vote Conservative and the children follow suit. I wonder why that is? ---------- Post added 23-03-2015 at 14:54 ---------- How ironic, Grant Shapps/Michael Green suspends Tory candidate for fabrication & lying!! http://politicalscrapbook.net/2015/03/grant-shapps-plane-and-car-boasts-stinking-filthy-rich-online-michael-green/

Maybe they don't complain as its rare for this to be the case. I have never hard a conservative voter state they vote Tory because of their parents, grandparents etc. The same can be said for Lib Dem support. Most people who I have had conversations with who support the Torys or Lib Dems appear to do so by supporting their policies. It seems to me that Labour support is more tribal. Then I saw the light. Socialism is corrupt, an oligarchy of the mediocre, full of envy spite and vindictiveness. Don't forget, when replying to use all my names. ---------- Post added 23-03-2015 at 16:57 ---------- Don't worry Mecky. I'm sure a Tory will be along very shortly, with a perfectly rational explanation Perfectly rational explanation, the guy is bent and he has got the sack. Corruption is not confined to Tory wannabees, ask Milliband about his trust fund. Edited March 23, 2015 by Alan Ladd
SteveJ68
There is no "explanation" to give. He is not guilty of anything yet and the EDL have simply alleged something. Something that the person concerned completely denies. He's resigned! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-32024045

Perhaps they don't articulate it, or haven't done in front of you....Or maybe Tories & Liberal voters are more shy about disclosing their reasons for choice of party.... There's probably psephological studies about how parents influence their children's offspring
