Yes and no. Bono owns the company that owns Forbes (those of rich list fame) and strips assetts from other companies with vigour - "elevation partners" (no really, that's the name) are truly the worst of capitalists. And he dodges tax worse than Gary Barlow. He's a hypocritical has-been that hasn't knocked out anything decent since the 90s.

I find it very difficult to take these people seriously, these are the same people who tell us all to dig deep into our pockets to help the needy and the poor while having a bank account full of money and avoiding tax and then claim to be socialists telling us to vote Labour.I have no time for all these "i do a lotta work for charity mate" celebrities.

He's fake though isn't he?

No, he's definitely an excellent singer songwriter.

and a hypocrite.

Really? Be specific, or you look like you're just talking crap.

Lives in a big house in lovely white Burton Bradstock while promoting and inflicting a muticult on the rest of us.

Sour grapes methinks. Why shouldn't he have a nice house? He's worked hard for it.

This has been an awesome first day and I've nearly fell off my chair laughing a couple of times.

Bill Bragg and Corbyn singing 'The Red Flag' at an asylum seekers welcome do. Then finding out about Billy Bragg's country mansion was hilarious, nearly as funny as finding out about Derek Hatton's overseas property empire, and then Alexi Sayle's overseas property. These apparatchiks like their dachas.

Corbyn has a lot of dead wood to cut out on the left too!!!

Billy Bragg is not going to make people vote for Corbyn who wouldn't' anyway. Corbyn needs to get rid of him and anyone else that tries to leech from him to restart their failed careers.

Absolutely right. The last thing we want is people like Bragg and Sayle back on the scene, and Ben Elton jetting back from his beachfront paradise in Western Australia.

Reading between the lines, you are saying that it is ok to be filthy rich if you say you are a socialist but not ok to be filthy rich and say you are a capitalist.I base this on some of your previous views on this forum.

To spend your adult life promoting multiculturalism then escape off to Burton Bradstock is a joke. Why doesn't he live in the melting pot he claims is so great?

Good old alexi style. I heard him on the now show practically call every lorry driver a criminal scumball, I'll try to find the episode. He didn't do it in a funny way he did it in really crappy way - I felt bad for hgv drivers everywhere - clarkson wouldn't have got away with saying it.

Up the workers eh alexi.

I voted for Corbyn because I think he is a decent person that will advocate for a fairer way of life in Britain. Although I might be considered one of the winners in Tory Britain, I would dearly like to see a great deal more equality. Petty people and the right wing press (non doms everyone) will try to discredit him in the months to come - but he has a very warm and loyal following.
