Didn't you vote in the labour party leader elections for Corbyn?

Couldn't actually bring myself to do it.

And even if I had, voting for a loser to run an opposition party is completely different to actually voting for him in a general election.

Make it clear. I did not say that...don't accredit that quote to me.

Its a choice between two parties....I don't back the conservatives on all issues and further believe we need a complete overhaul of the political and economic system. Only corbyn has addressed that requirememt to date.

It's a bit like all these hard line tories saying leave the eu.....Cameron wants to stay in...people have differing opinions to party line.

He's a signed up labour supporter yet a socialist conservative when suits....

And a tax dodger on the third instance....whatever suits!

So - have to ask you again - which of the conservative policies that Cameron put forward in the last election, but a few months ago, did you vote for?

I am not a signed up Labour supporter.

I am certainly not a socialist anything.

Please define "Dodger". It is a very loose term. If you are accusing me of evasion, then you couldn't be further away from the truth.

OK I take back any political sense I might have credited Corbyn and his backers with.

After his refusal to sing the national anthem at the 75th Battle of Britain memorial today, it is quite clear the man has simply not go a clue. Not-a-one.

I hope he wasn't banking on the OAP or northern vote :hihi:

i'm banking on him wrecking the labour party. the early signs are quite encouraging. the appointment of the new chancellor was a master stroke.

It is a tiny bit scary that there is a tiny possibility that they might get elected and wreck this country completely. It wouldn't take long, and it could be irreversible. :suspect:

Corbyn was simply maintaining a respectful, dignified silence.

You might like to try it sometime ;)

He doesn't seem too bothered about putting on a false front or playing to the media. To that extent, he is sticking to his principles.

Given the vilification he's received from the media, perhaps he thinks it's just not worth it?

Whether such an approach can work in modern politics, well, it seems unlikely.

Perhaps he's a fan of the film Bulworth?

If you want to be some gobby backbencher, yeah don't bother singing in the national anthem at event such as this. But he isn't. He's leader of the opposition with, I presume, ideas of leading the country. ALL of it, not just the parts who share his ideology.

I'd let him off at a sporting event or some such but this is very poor form.
