Danish prime minister (at the time) Helle-Thorning Schmidt.

She perhaps shouldn't have done that. It was probably a very long day!

Was she going for her "winston Churchill , Maggie thatcher " moment.

the "party" have also said corbyn will in future sing the national anthem at official events. it is all going terribly well for him so far. :hihi::hihi::hihi:
Well at least that shows he's taking notice of the views of other party members rather than dictating to them.

Though he shouldn't continue to keep changing his mind, that's a woman's prerogative.

i thought corbyn thought one thing but was told to think again.

A perfectly reasonable thought for you to have, even though it may not bear any relation to reality

Maybe he thought the fuss wasn't worth the principle

Maybe his "advisors" suggested he think again

Maybe other voices in the party are just pouring oil on troubled water

However you want to view it, and whatever you might want to believe, he won't sing the National Anthem just because he has been told to do so - he isn't a naughty schoolboy - if he sings it at the next occasion it will be because he thinks he should (for whatever reason) not because someone told him to

Never read so much tosh about the national anthem 'incident'. Seriously, people should move on.

But let's just imagine that the incident says something about Corbyn or his character. What exactly?

I'm struggling. What is the problem?
