Brexit has been made all the more complicated by it being pushed as a party issue. It really should have been cross party, the fundamental question being 'do you want toe stay in or be out?' regardless of party affiliations.

It's now probably going to confuse the outcome of the next election.

It is a cross party issue for Labour and the Conservatives.  It’s the reasons that illuminating.  (IMO)

Labour - Ideologically they should be Brexiters because it’s a rich countries club to selfishly gain the best for them at the expense of  other countries . But, many supporters are poor and know that Labour are the best bet to improve their lot.

Conservatives - Ideologically they should be Remainers because it’s a rich countries club to  get the best for them (Greed is good). But,  the power hungry* and  little britoners* want to run the country and  reject any trace of jonny foreigner. Hurrah!

*= elements of both these types in both parties.

It has, and also in a very peculiar way. Labour is against what the tories are doing. With the reduced majority situation, they are now playing at party politics with an issue that isn't.

I personally dont like aspects of the deal, but it has large chunks that satisfy some of peoples biggest concerns. The fact it has zero Labour mp support, is at the very least odd.

So Jezza is calling for an election.  Wise move or is he just setting himself up for another fall?

We've already got the mess that is Brexit, how on earth is an election going to help?     Labour are still behind the Tories in the polls.

Considering his previous track record in Europe, lets just assume he does become PM.  What is he expecting to go to Europe and come away with?  Why would Europe listen to him?

It's not a deadlock breaker. It just makes him look foolish imo.

There's is talk today of TM discussing with Labour mp's guarantees on workers rights. Why isn't he pushing that angle instead? Support a deal that protects aspects he sees as most important?????

If Corbyn forces a GE it will make Brexit harder to resolve and not easier as Parliament will get suspended 25 working days before its held and in that time nothing can be resolved but the clock still ticks.

He doesn’t know (does he?) what may even asked for - nobody does so I’m not sure how he knows he would get a better deal.
