it belongs to the membership, and i am part of the said membership, which in turn means i have a voice within the party

You are one voice amongst many. Your’s is  one opinion in a spectrum of opinions. You should maybe reflect on that a little.

Anyway, you’ve inspired me to rejoin the party that I quit when Blair was war-mongering. Only so that I can vote for Kier, you understand.

He’s the only one who can make labour electable. Thanks for the motivation

I’m not sure that he will, but I hope he does.

I was at University with Kier, he’s a good guy.

What I do know is that if he doesn’t get elected, Labour won’t either.

perhaps you may be right, but my heart tells me i should vote for someone with socialist principles,  i am not going to change what i believe in just so i can back a winner, if that was the case then the labour party should just adopt Tory principles and get elected at any price, not for me thanks

No - it should present itself as a credible alternative government - not a pressure group seemingly only wanting to appeal to a small section of the political spectrum.

In my opinion a socialist government is a credible opposition
