But that's not UKIP policy. It's just Farage's personal preference that UKIP's health spokeswoman has rejected;

I am certain that if the party discuss it again, we will reject it again. The vast majority of Ukip members, the British public and I will always favour a state-funded NHS.”

I'm sorry I quoted the wrong post. I have correct the error. :help:

Absolutely rubbish. Having a system where private insurance is involved, and as such another layer of bureaucracy is introduced, is not going to be a better system.

Having a system where the employers end up contributing towards their employees healthcare costs, like the USA, is uncompetitive for the employers. For every goods or service provided they have to add a percentage onto the costs to allow for their employees' healthcare.

How many times have we been down this road. Routine operations are not cancelled for private operations.

really then who is doing the work?

There are currently 3.2million awaiting surgery, scans or other treatments, a rise of 700,000 from April 2010 when the Coalition took over.

Private operations are usually carried out at weekends or evenings when the theatres are empty, with the staff being paid overtime by the private patient or their insurance.

We've been through this before.

Of maybe it isn't like you dream it is at all!!

You are just making ignorant assumptions without having any evidence to back up your claims.

As a rule private operations in Sheffield on the NHS tend to get done in the evenings and weekends when the theatres are empty, with staff brought in on an overtime basis paid for by the patient/patients insurance.

Hospitals have strict regulations in regard to waiting lists, and if they fail to meet their targets they get fined. So they work hard, again with overtime shifts, to try to keep up. It works out cheaper for the hospital to pay staff overtime for these 'waiting list initiatives' than it does to not meet their targets.

So to suggest that a hospital's would regularly bump off NHS patients to operate on private patients , in an attempt to earn money, shows a distinct lack of understanding of the situation.

mate you really do come up with some crap.

Here again if your hard of reading....

Critics say that while those who can afford to pay are treated immediately, those who can’t are pushed further and further back in the ever-lengthening queue.

Can I confirm, is this a wind up or are you being serious?

The link that you put forward doesn't suggest that NHS operations are cancelled in favour of private operations! It's giving two examples, the very wealthy that have the resources to queue jump, and the rest of us who are waiting on ever growing waiting lists.

Critique my post then. What part of it is wrong.
