Zamo
Apparently, according to one UKIP member, you will be killed if you are the wrong candidate. Don't think he'll be a UKIP member for long. It's the curse of rapid growth... quality candidates are still edging their bets by waiting to see if UKIP are a long term prospect whilst poorer quality candidates take advantage of a lack of competition. The bloke is a idiot but it doesn't change the fact that selective immigration and a referendum on EU membership are sound policies and supported by most people. It is like on The Chase when the contestant gives an elaborate explanation of how he deduced the answer is A, which is cringing nonsense but the answer is still right. UKIP candidate selection process is clearly in need of improvement to keep out the undesirables and negative contributors... In that respect it is just like our immigration system! LeMaquis
....the UKIP ones seem to get more publicity than the others. Hardly surprising as there are a lot more of them. Another one has been expelled from Mansfield for not declaring he used to be in the BNP. And another in Plymouth is keeping quiet that he used to be in the EDL. Some could say they are the only party to need such rules I suspect.

fuddyduddy4
UKIP have got good policies and a good leader but that's about it ,still tarred with BNP legacy.Libdems will get nowhere basically due to their leaders poor performance,Labour should win but will lose due to having a poor leader. The Tories will win but expect Cameron to renege on his pledge for an EU referendum

Wasn't there an incident last night? But I'm sure all parties have members like this, but they don't make the news so quickly. Is it because UKIP is less picky? Or do they not vet their candidates and supporters enough? Or, do they attract the loons like Cameron claimed?
MikeFrank
There's been over 200 Lab/Lib/Con councillors and MP's sacked, prosecuted or jailed since 2010. Nobody knows much about these though. They don't often appear in the media. But they are very much as bad as UKIP, who are not perfect. Anyone, unbiased in particular, must see that this constant national publication of UKIP people is a strategy by the other parties and their media chums to discredit UKIP because they are worried about the election. We must remember issues like the expenses scandal, Cyril Smith, Lord Janner, Rotherham and many other disgraceful things when considering if UKIP are worse than the others. My opinion is that UKIP are no different than the others, they're just as bad.

It's because UKIP is seen as a threat to the other parties, who's supporters and candidates have a long history of wrongdoings, but like to point out what others are doing to cover their own misdeeds.
