Nigel Farage was dignified and confident on Question Time last night and didn't dodge any points put to him. Steven Woolfe spoke very well on the radio this morning.

No doubt this squabble will soon be over in the party but I am sure some people will bring it up for years to come.

There are hardly any British people unwilling to work for a fair wage. It's myth. There may be people unwilling to work because the pay is not enough to pay for a basic existence but there's a difference. Its fine to invite people from abroad who will... by living cheaply in very difficult circumstances for a while... but at some point the pay needs increasing. Not only for the British but for all.

Its easy to get into the game of foreign workers against the British ones like this but in reality the British workers are as good as any in the world. We didn't build one of the richest nations in the world by loafing about all day.

I agree, if people merely earn enough to sustain a meagre existence how can they pump money back into the economy? As for immigrants who will work for a pittance, that "pittance" is a fortune to them but many send a large chunk of that money "back home".

With regard to all these "menial" jobs that allegedly we allow immigrants to take? offer them to the British who WONT work and if they dont accept them, then stop their benefits. At least the money stays here.

The housing crisis is only a "crisis" because of an exploding population. Why allow more people in the country then?

Our footballers earn astronomic wages for kicking a ball about and most of them are from abroad, the governor of our bank is a foreigner, many doctors and specialists are foreigners .... all high paid jobs.. is that a fault of the british "not willing to work" .. or a fault in the education system? oh but then "Governor of the Bank of England" wouldn't pop up in a job search would it?

UKIP's mr farage is the only one with a strong enough character to voice the obvious. The voting system's a farce, set up in such a way that widens the north/south rich/poor divide. How is it that the libs get 8 seats in parliament when ukip beat them hands down?

No wonder the country is in a mess, it's a laughing stock. 75% of the voters were against the tories .. but they still got in?

Stick a couple of hundred thousand immigrants on tory doorsteps and see who gets the vote then.

I read somewhere that only those who earn £35,000 pay enough tax to pay for the public services we uses. This why it's sensible not to introduce policies that hit the rich hard. They help pay for all our public services. People don't seem to get that. They hear about rogue companies like Starbucks paying no tax but without other big business and the rich we'd be stumped..

What are they eating while in the UK.........Or are they bringing sandwiches from home?

Who are they paying rent to for the places they are staying.........or does that money get pumped back into outer space?

Who are the ones that have set up businesses paying tax to?..........and where does that money go to?

He didn't "change his mind". He resigned as Leader (as promised), tendered his resignation (as promised) which in turn the NEC refused to accept.

It has happened before even in Cabinet so what's the deal?

Best ask UKIP what the deal is.........they are the ones arguing among each other as a result of what Farage did and numerous other things to do with the election campaign.

the businesses that seem to fold or change hands at the end of the tax year? ..

The landlords who set extortionate rents for the grubby bedsits they overpopulate? who then get those rents paid for by the benefits system and systematically send the money back home.

What's that got to do with migrant workers spending money into the UK economy.........moving the goalposts doesn't alter the facts that I gave you. You've got an EU referendum coming up,now vote to get out.......please,because people have been sick of the whinging coming from there for a long time now...........just go,and see what the businesses/jobcreators who want to be at the heart of the EU decide to do as a result of an out vote.........your choice.

FARAGE GETS NUMBERS WRONG ON EU MIGRANTS IN THE UK

UKIP leader, Nigel Farage, told the BBC TV yesterday, “The biggest question of all with this referendum is who can vote? Because in a General Election it’s British passport holders that vote, but in a European election and in local elections, people with EU passports can vote. There are 4 million EU citizens living in this country, can they vote or not?”

But, as pointed out today by FactCheckEU, Mr Farage gave a grossly inflated figure for the number of EU citizens living in the UK. There are not 4 million, as he claimed, but only approximately 2.6 million, of whom only about 2.2 million are of voting age.

Concluded FactCheckEU:

“Were the referendum to be held now, approximately 2.2 EU citizens could go to the election booths were they deemed eligible. While not few overall, they are a far smaller bunch than the 4 million figure mentioned by Mr Farage on TV.”

Squabble? This "squabble" is being played out by UKIP in the media. Farage has given interviews to the Telegraph and Sky demanding loyalty. Maybe he'll get a job in North Korea. Others are speaking to the BBC and briefing other journalists off the record. We don't need to bring it up.

I'm not being funny but the Telegraph is hardly unbiased. Nothing happened here. Stop rubber necking and move on :hihi:

It would be more beneficial if an unbiased report on UKIPs manifesto was reported and the number of people who voted in favour of it leading to them(the newspapers) to press for a reform in the voting system as obviously the 2 major parties will not as it isn't in their interests.

Remember it is sensationalism that sells newspapers and don't be taken in by it.
