I want to create a single issue party for the next election(s)

To put up candidates at the the 2015 General Election, and the next round of Euro elections in a few years time.

 

I'll create a manifesto that has one (and only one) policy.

 

1.

 

1a. Scrap all funding for HS2, and divert it into building a 5-mile long piece of straight (wide-guage) train track on the flattest, driest piece of the Fens.

 

1b. Buy the most powerful jet/rocket engine NASA and/or the Russian space agency have, and attach it to a specially constructed train, which has accomodation for one (and only one) driver-cum-passenger.

 

1c. Stand well back as the engine is lit. (Northampton, probably)

 

Clearly. This can't happen overnight, and it can't happen without help.

(Anyone who want to stand as a candidate or to go on the party list in any of the regions will clearly be first in line to be the driver/pilot/passenger in the first (and only) trial of this vehicle.)
