desy
After 19 years of running junior football at priamary league level, the Woodward league is folding with the last games being played at Wales High School on 1st April. The league that was started by Rotherham police as an excersise in getting kids in the area at primary school level. It was never a big league and involed schools from the Aston- cum -Aughton area, Woodsetts,Kiveton, Laughton, Wales, Handsworth, Whiston, Anston, Dinnington over the years. It would be great to get support from former players to give it a send of 3rd v 4th playoff 9.30am with the final following on after.

desy
Due to Sheffield and District expanding down to under 7's(they play saturday or sunday), Parents not willing to take on introducing school based teams, Lack of schools in the area not wanting the kids to play in competitive sports. Parents not wanting to support there children in sport(prefer to use as a baby sitting service). Lack of interest to play before they go of to watch united or wednesday on a saturday ( seems people don't want to do both).
