Happ Hazzard
Surely the primary responsibility for providing for children is that of the parents. Why are so many people having children that they cannot afford?
poppet2
Surely the primary responsibility for providing for children is that of the parents. Why are so many people having children that they cannot afford? Because the government encourages them through these type of benefits. Besides, who else is going to pay for the future state pension? confuse
I couldn't believe this quote... "We don’t receive any benefits, we only get working tax credits and child benefits. Child benefit is £81 a month and the working tax credits were £430 a month but for some unknown reason it’s now gone down to £350." £430 a month handout, is benefit to me! The numptys we get on here thinking working tax credit is a not a benefit :hihi: Best way to get out of it is find a better job, get a second job. The only people that are paying for a future state pension are those who contribute more to the state over their lifetime than they recieve in benefits and services. Bonzo77
It not a benefit, its a human right. It's a benefit and it benefits millions. ---------- Post added 28-05-2014 at 20:45 ---------- Because they know the Taxpayer will pick up the tab for them. You're talking about unemployed people then, not working families who receive tax credits?

Happ Hazzard
Tax credits are ridiculous. Why tax people and then give them some money back? Why not just not tax them in the first place?
