Violence to girls and women.

Recommended Posts

Since 1990, Professor Akotiomga Michel has carried out more than 3,000 reversal operations on women who have been cut.

“FGM has no benefits, only consequences,” said Michel. “Women who have been cut find it difficult to have sex or go to the toilet. The operation takes around 15 to 30 minutes depending on how bad the scarring is and it makes a huge difference to the women’s lives.” .......Some relevant information regarding violence to women!

Problem is with FGM it's mostly violence to women done by other women for cultural and religious reasons. It's bad, but bad in a different way from beatings, violence, rapes and murders.

the Qur'an says that on the day of resurrection, the girl-child who was put to death merely for being female, will be asked "for what crime were you put to death?" (surat al Takwir verses 8 and 9)

and the punishment for those who killed her will be great.

also

in pre-Islamic Arabia it was common to put a girl-child to death, as it was considered a disgrace to have female children.

Surah Al-Nahl (Chapter 16), Verses 58 and 59 (16:58-59)

“When news is brought to one of them of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkness, and he is filled with inward grief!

With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance) the choice they decide on?”

The scripture tells us not to mourn because we are given a girl-child, but to rejoice because God has given us a child.

It doesnt say that at all

Malaysian police have detained 13 men and are looking for other suspects following allegations that a 15-year-old girl was raped by 38 men in the country's northern region.

The men took turns to rape her for hours. Police are also investigating whether her 17-year-old friend was also raped.

Media accounts, quoting information from district police chief Azham Otham, said 38 men were involved.

"It is very disturbing to me that no one in the village was even suspicious when the closest neighbour was a mere 20 metres away," Otham told The Star newspaper.

Why are you always on here posting rubbish from 1000 years ago? There's no relevance. We know now that biology tells us that the man's sperm decides the sex, so if he gets girls or boys, it's down to him not the mother.

And what does the murdered girl care that someone pretends that their god is going to punish her murderer? She's still dead without even having had a life.

And what's the point of killng girls? As the chinese and indians are finding out, if you get rid of female foetuses or babies, when the boys grow up, they can't find wives. Sort of defeats the object, wouldn't you say?[/

Absolutely, which means you must agree with Islam outlawing female infanticide.

The Indians haven't found out as female infanticide is still rife in the country unlike in neighbouring MUSLIM Pakistan which has a higher rate of females than males.

Qatar its 3.29 males to each female.

United Arab Emirates 2.19

Bahrain 1.54

Kuwait 1.43

Compared to the UK which is 0.99

Saudi Arabia 1.21

One in three women will experience sexual violence in some way or another in their lives throughout the world.

Wake up males have a problem, and its getting more out of control universally, and pointing fingers here or there at this community or that allows one to be distracted from the bigger picture.

So out of the 7 billion people well over a billion women will be sexually assaulted to varying degrees in their life.

We in the UK are helping boost these figures as rapes and sexual assaults continue rise, as elsewhere.

Reading posts this conversation is designed by many to be racist, when its a male problem, and its a universal male problem.

Seems like you have plucked that top 7 out of your own Islamophobic imagination.

sex ratio estimates by WDB: male to female

India 1.08

Qatar 1.04

Bahrain 1.05

Kuwait 1.03

Maldives 1.06

Oman 1.05

UK 1.05

Saudi Arabia 1.03

Far from being in the top 7, all lower than India and 3 lower than the UK.

which is absolutely meaningless because infanticide rising due to poverty and female infanticide due to hatred of females are two different things.

That's the problem I have with Islamophobes.

They do not vilify other faiths in the same way they do Islam. They do not point to all the atrocities and violence committed in or by Non Muslim nations and blame it on that countries religious or secular values and beliefs. They do not quote from the Vedas, Torah, Bible in a manner to deliberately demonise the followers of those faiths.

These Islamophobes are the same fascists that vilified the Jews during the rise of fascism in Nazi Germany.

These figures include the migrant workers in the oil and construction industries who have flocked to those countries in recent decades, that's why they're so inflated. If you look at sex ratios between people born in Quatar they're about the same as everywhere else.
