gnomi
We are using Harrisons Bar as its extremely cheap, in the city center on a tram route with easy access to the two premier inns in the city center. You can use your own dj and decorate how you want it. At £150 for the whole bar, you really cant go wrong! http://www.harrisonsbar.co.uk/index.html
dawnhindle
Channing Hall might be worth considering: http://www.ukunitarians.org.uk/upper/hallphotos.htm You can cater yourself at Kenwood Hall Hotel, but it is expensive.
LRLipscombe
For a quirky venue where you can hire a room how about The Chimney House. http://www.thechimneyhouse.com/ For other more traditional venues there is Cutlers Hall, Whitley Hall, Wortley Hall, The Holiday Inn Royal Victoria plus others that other people have suggested. If you are just looking for a room to hire why not try the local pubs and clubs?
kubbs
thank you! I understand Whirlow Brook Hall is back up and running as a wedding venue (even though they're not really advertising the fact much), a friend went to go and see it, apparently it's quite pricy nowadays, so will take it off the list. thank you all! _aju
Hi, I went to have a look around. To get married and have the wedding breakfast for 50 it was 6k if you wanted just the venue it was 7k (not sure why) They also said you could use the scenery for photography but no outside activities or entertainment allowed
kubbs
Ooh thank you! Good to know for sure, and that does put it out of our budget. Even if it didn't, it's a bit rubbish that they don't allow or encourage outdoor activities!?

Moosey
Played a party there in the big room. It was decorated very nicely but still retained quite an industrial feel which was nice. Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
caz7
My daughter had her wedding in Little Mesters within Kelham Island but I think you are perhaps refering to inside the actual Museum?
