BRIAN HIGGINS

Brian is one of the most experienced headline acts on the comedy circuit. He moved to London in his teens from a small fishing Village in central Scotland. Armed only with a penknife, catapult and a bag full of tadpoles he set out to make his fortune. Twenty years later he still has the penknife. Brian has a real passion for comedy, and it shows in an impeccably delivered cheeky upbeat set, which never fails to deliver the goods.

Topical material, alongside well crafted stories of Fatherhood, pregnancy and all related subject matters. He has a high turnover of material and that maybe one of the reasons he has been a headline act for the last fourteen years.

Festivals

Reading, Bug Jam, Shakespeare festival Nottingham & Leeds, Cambridge comedy Festival and V festival and many, many more.

International Gigs

Parkers C/C Johannesburg S/A, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Perth Austrailia, Dubai, Bahrain, Abu-dabi, P&O cruises mediterranean & Caribean, Cyprus, Switzerland.

CSE work Kosovo, Cyprus and many fund raising events throughout the years for injured troops.

Brian has worked in theatres the length and breadth of the country, Universities in every city and every other nook and cranny with a microphone.

Brian recently has delved into the world of writing and has just finished a children’s book about special needs children and is now working on a farcical book for men on the subject of pregnancy. (From beer to paternity)

Brian has had countless appearances on radio, with the likes of Talk Sport, Fred MacAulay show and numerous TV shows, Funny Business, The Warehouse and award winning short film Pub fiction with Al Murray.

Daft but very funny, William Cook The Guardian.

The people’s favourite comedian, The List.

A live wire and skilful, Time out Malcolm Hay.

BARRY DODDS

The Geordie nervebag returns to one of his favourite clubs. Doddsy has forged an enviable reputation for himself over the past few years, charming audiences nationwide, with his uniquely tailored combination of disarming wit and wry, down-to-earth observational humour.

Barry has taken the national circuit by storm, with his mix of surprisingly dark and irrepressibly cheeky material.

Fascinated by stand-up from an early age, Barry took to the stage at the tender age of 21, and is now a firm audience favourite at clubs such as Highlight, The Stand, The Frog and Bucket, The Last laugh, XS Malarkey and many more. In 2006 Barry jetted off to Luxembourg where he performed a solo show - and became the first ever comedian to perform on Luxembourg TV and in 2007 appeared in the prestigious Avalon Comedy Zone at the Edinburgh Fringe.

“Hugely enjoyable…a ton of great stories…one to watch” – The Guardian

"Razor sharp humour" – Metro

"winning friends with his energy and spirit…" – Chortle

STEVE GRIBBIN

Steve Gribbin is a rock'n'roll comedian in more ways than one. As one half of Skint Video, he was one of the hits of many a festival throughout the early 1990s and his treatment of Billy Bragg was little short of brilliant. They also starred on countless television programmes such as Saturday Live, radio such as The Mary Whitehouse Experience, and had their own show Songlines on Radio One.

Since branching out on his own, professional Scouser Steve has continued to keep his feet firmly in both camps. A great musician, his songs are exactly that, combining razor sharp lyrics with annoyingly catchy tunes and devastatingly funny humour.

Add to this some disarmingly accurate and off the wall observations and you have a real must-see act.

Steve's original comedy songs combining that put their foot in the door of your Steve is a regular member of the Loos Ends and Weekending teams on Radio 4 and The Treatment on Radio 5 Live.

‘You can count the number of truly imaginative comic singers currently on the circuit on the fingers of one hand. One of this select band is Steve Gribbin.’ Time Out

‘Satirical songs are hard to pull off successfully, but if anyone can do it, Steve Gribbin can. In fact, he pulls it off with real aplomb.’ The Independent

"A highly refreshing and original comic with a gift for sharp observations and up-to-the-minute political asides... With more energy than a friendly Tasmanian devil, this affable and animated comedian tells jokes, plays the guitar and sings lyrics."- The Scotsman
