taxman
Noticed this ourselves tonight. Sounds great but can't find any more details about it. Sounds a bit like a fantastic place in Southport that sells bottled ales at off license prices but you can drink in for an extra 50p. Think we'll be outside the door at 3pm Friday. Andy C
Its on Facebook. Its a two day pop-up pub brought to you by the same people who did the Crookes Alehouse during the Christmas/New Year week. Two cask ales, one from Sheffield Brewery and one from On The Edge. Also a selection of bottled beers. I may try and get up there Friday night (am at Three Valleys beer festival in Dronfield on Saturday). https://www.facebook.com/walkleybeerco?fref=ts
taxman
Nice beer but the mark ups on the bottles are just daft. The Dram Shop is just up the road, they sell Flying Dogs for £2.69. Not £4. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Inn-Beer-Shop/158455110847071 That's how to do it. 50p mark up and a packed shop
Rivelin6
According to the people running it they hope to have a regular off license there where you can drink in. As the prices are so much more expensive then elsewhere I don't think they will do well without taking a leaf out of The Inn Beer Shop in Southport https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Inn-Beer-Shop/158455110847071
WalkleyIan
its filling up nicely this afternoon but the cask ale is going fast so don't hang about too long if you are heading down. Nice chilled out atmosphere in there.
walkleybeerc
Thanks everyone for coming and supporting us. A fun and educational experience! We're opening again on the 4-5th and 11-12th July. There'll be another selection of cask ales and a small selection of bottled beer (Kernel, Pressure Drop, Siren, Beavertown, Bristol Beer Factory etc.) to take away or drink in. As for pricing I think we're on par with the other specialist beer retailers but obviously these things can fluctuate (buying direct from a brewery vs wholesaler). We never sold Flying Dog in Walkley so can't really comment on that
