Funky_Gibbon
I actually felt like someone had punched me in the stomach when I heard this on the radio coming home from work. RIP Rik and thanks for all the laughs.
blake
not a hoax then, which he would have probably loved to have pulled off. Taking large amounts of cocaine will not add to your life expectancy.

Anna B
Oh no. I've loved Rik Mayall ever since his Kevin Turvey days. A great comic and actor. Really shocked, he was only 56. No news about what happened. Sympathies to his family and friends.

Angus Prune
I was fortunate enough to meet him once, signing copies of the Bad News LP at the old HMV Shop on Pinstone Street - he was just as funny in real life as on the screen. Yet another comedy hero gone before their time. RIP.
Guest
Taking large amounts of cocaine will not add to your life expectancy. The news mentioned nothing of this just now; so far all we know is that he died suddenly at home.
