Son wanting to join U8 football team

Recommended Posts

My boy wants to play football for a team (U8 I think he is currently in y2)

He had been toing training at after school club run by swfc but won't be able to do this in y3

I really don't know how the whole thing works, is it to late for him to join a team? do they have trials? We live in s17 so don't really want to travel to far (S7, s8, s18, s10, s11 would be fab)

What are the costs?

Are there any teams wanting player?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Norton Lees Juniors under 8's are wanting players, they train every Thursdays in Graves park at 6 oclock and play behind the Bradway pub on Sundays.

My Grandson plays for them and loves it....

There is a thread about them in the football section if you do a search....

The FA have a "Find a Team" site which is useful to find local teams.

http://www.thefa.com/my-football/football-volunteers/Find/Find%20a%20Football%20Club

Some teams local to you include:

Brunsmeer Athletic, who play at Dore have a good development programme: http://www.brunsmeer.co.uk/

Porter FC play in Dore too: http://www.porterfc.org.uk/
