willman
Do I really need a financial advisor? What do they charge? Can anyone recommend one? I have a small personal pension, very small which i want to transfer to a larger pot. Both with Scottish Widows btw. They've advise me i need a financial advisor to do the transfer. I even mentioned that the amount was so small i might donate it to charity ,at which point he said i'd need an FA for that as well. Anybody heard anything so daft. Mr Bloom
I think it was PACE I used. I met up with them for about an hour. One of the best uses of an hour of my life. I only wish I'd have gone the whole hog and done everything they had suggested as I would be a lot better off now. Their advice was free but I think they might get a cut from whoever you transfer to (can't remember how it works now, they did explain fully.) It might sound daft having to seek the advice of an INDEPENDENT FA but it's to protect customers from being scammed.
