50,000 protest Austerity

Recommended Posts

Did anyone else know that this was happening?.

we have to face it the main stream press in this country is being controlled by the goverment so much that big stories like this just slip under the radar.

Over 50,000 people estimated today for #nomoreausterity in London

Same with this story......

@OwenJones84 Probably the same "security concerns" that prevented them reporting the 60,000 in Manchester on the #SaveTheNHS march last year

At lest he has got his views across....https://t.co/99vrAE6cJT

And it will be featured on R.T.

The same reason why the main stream press rarely bleat on about British company tax advoiders. Multi billionaire press owners and their friends, are are hardly going to advertise the 'Austerity march', when avoiding tax makes them part of the problem.

Ok fair enough. Let's cancel austerity.

But in order to cover the country's outgoings we'll have to:

Get rid of the NHS, shifting health care into private hands. Want to see a GP, that'll be £50. Need an ambulance? £900.

Get rid of the welfare state. Don't work, don't eat. simples

Oh and income tax will be 50% for EVERYONE.

*disclaimer - ok slight exaggeration but not by much

I'm not sure that photo shows 50,000.

Why is it a big story ? there are over 50 million people in this country so 50K protesting is hardly big news or the start of a revolution. :hihi::hihi:

And its probably safe to say that the 50K are some of those who have spat their dummy out because they no longer get their spare bedrooms paid for by the tax payer.

Pretty much this.

You mean those that haven't done anything illegal, unlike the millions that get paid out by those that are fraudulently claiming benefits.

Let's face it, if you had that kinda money and you could get away with it then you would. Denying so makes you a liar, admitting it makes you a hypocrite. Choose wisely.

Another load of tosh, billions lost in unpaid taxes verses millions claimed lost in fraudulent benefit claims, which would be better to go after, choose wisely;);)

Agree on both points.

... what about the billions of non-fraudulent benefit claims from people who are quite capable of working, but don't (and probably rightly so) because generous benefits are a better option?

-

The rich, and the working tax-payers already prop up the benefits system. And you want more. Tried and tested, and failed.

-

Agree on both points.

People should try and live in countries where the rich don't pay into the system like here. Then you'll see austerity.
