DaFoot
I've been contemplating a new car recently and found the various car broker websites that seem to offer good prices. I wondered if anyone here has any experience dealing with the likes of gbcardeals.com , broker4cars.co.uk etc etc ?
davyboy
Last year I bough a qashqai through an on line broker and saved over £3K on the list price. £500 deposit and about 6 weeks wait. I had to pay the balance before the car arrived (a vey tense wait I can tell you) I had it delivered for free but could have paid £300 for it to be trailered to my home. Would I do it again.........yes.
DaFoot
Thanks Davyboy, do you mind me asking which broker you used?
davyboy
It was: Buyanewcaronline.co.uk Sonnauto(uk)Ltd I was the first registered owner, it had not been pre registered to a garage. If this concerns you make it clear what you want. My car came from Manchester.
DaFoot
Buyanewcaronline have got it down to 10% less than list price, that was about my target figure...
willman
Will a retailer not be able to match the prices.? I've recently viewed a couple of Volvo v60's the dealers were willing to knock £6k off a £29k list price on a brand new vehicle.
mlfc
The advice I've seen in the motoring press is that you should pay the dealer direct who will then pay the broker their commission or make sure they use a secure (escrow?) account to keep your cash in until delivery. Even if they are honest which I'm sure most are this protects you if they go bust between you paying and getting the vehicle
