Black Light Ray will be playing their unique brand of garage rock at the DAda bar, Trippet Lane, Sheffield on Friday July 11th.

Black Light Ray was formed by Missy Tassles (Thee Sheffield Phonographic Corporation, Flying Wing) and Paul Dorrington (The Wedding Present, Cha Cha Cohen) as part of the Black Light Art Collective. Their sound varies from atmospheric layered guitars to bombastic riff based garage rock. Drums are provided by Victor, a machine constructed from a sampler, a drum machine, a 1970s guitar amp, two 1940s speakers and a 1960s retro TV screen.

Entry is FREE – and there will be a variety of other live acts playing. The night is run by Mod For It (8.30pm to 2am) , with resident DJs playing Mod & Motown, 60’s and Northern Soul, Ska & Two Tone, Indie and Britpop classics. Black Light Ray will be playing at 9.30pm
