With harp, viola, guitar, banjo, glockenspiel, electronic beats and a vocal reminiscent of Elbow’s Guy Garvey their songs translate to other areas as tales of everyday life. Featuring Old Wives Tales, the aftermath of war and family days out, with a stage presence that always raises a smile, Harp and a Monkey celebrate real heroes in songs like men Digging Holes and Walking in the Footsteps of Giants – about those who led the Kinder Mass Trespass, then went to fight fascism in Spain.
