Mecky
Yes, Israel would find it hard to justify their actions. Perhaps, but you forget that when the Jews were resttled there in 1948 they were almost immediately attacked by arabs without any provacation on Israel's part. firemanbob
No it's just you being silly again. Its a recognized fact that when some people can't counter an opposing point of view to the one they hold, they resort to name calling, insults and violence. You don't think killing around 1800 people, injuring tens of thousands and destroying hundreds of homes is enough? Only time will tell if they did enough. I don't think anyone here has opposed action against against Hamas. People are opposing grossly disproportionate action against Hamas which causes massive civilian casualties. What action would you have taken to counter the threat from Hamas and the other terrorist groups in Gaza? Quoted for being the most bizarrely twisted logic I've had the displeasure of seeing so far this morning. If someone doesn't like Israel because they kill babies then its logical to conclude that they won't like any country that kills babies, unless their problem is Jews that kill babies and not baby killers in general. alchemist
It comes from Israeli power stations so they do supply it, and if Gaza don't want them to control it then they should build power station instead of tunnels and rockets. I agree, after all the hamas cowards seem to have access to plenty of money

But what IS a proportionate response to stop cowards who fire missles from residential areas full of women and children and then leg it into shelters letting the very same women and children suffer the response? Who then claim its the other sides fault for reacting!!! You cannot talk to cowards like that

They fired a lot of rockets at Israel and killed 63 Israelis. They also took Gaza a few decades closer to the stone age, which is presumably their ultimate goal. They focused the eyes of the world on Israels wrongdoing and their appalling treatment of the Palestinian people.
Anna Glypta
They focused the eyes of the world on Israels wrongdoing and their appalling treatment of the Palestinian people. So lots of countries will have imposed sanctions on Israel and Gaza will have $billions flooding in so that they can buy better weapons. I suppose Egypt has opened up the land border and is flooding Gaza with supplies and building extra power stations. You are really quite funny at times. ---------- Post added 06-08-2014 at 09:27 ---------- But what IS a proportionate response to stop cowards who fire missles from residential areas full of women and children and then leg it into shelters letting the very same women and children suffer the response? You cannot talk to cowards like that I think in the real world if your country is being attacked you hit back with whatever you have available to stop the attacks. Your priority is to prevent casualties ON YOUR SIDE.

No they didn't, they proved that Israel was right to blockade Gaza, they proved that they are a terrorists organization and proved that they will follow through on the threat to destroy Israel if they have get the opportunity. Israel proved that it will not tolerating attacks on their own people and that they will go out of its way to protect civilians in Gaza.
