megalithic
non west africans catch ebola too, so they would have to remain Really ? Anyway, other than locking them up there's no sure way of keeping anyone from crossing the borders there. Bribery is rife. It would be akin to attempt storing water in a sieve. Se7enhills
To the OP of course we should, and now there is some possibility of ebola all the more reason to do so I reckon

Guest
Nothing. You do realise that to find your way across one of the borders there cost just a few pounds sterling. The population there cannot simply be controlled that easily. Indeed, but the risk can be greatly minimised by temporarily halting migration into the UK from West Africa in the normal way. By not letting anyone with West African passports into the UK from wherever they are coming from?

Longcol
By not letting anyone with West African passports into the UK from wherever they are coming from? Not all people travelling from West Africa will be on West African passports.
megalithic
Not all people travelling from West Africa will be on West African passports. Indeed. Only last night i spoke with an aid worker who'd recently returned from Guinea Bissau via Algeria.
Marx
I heard that 26% of Europeans have an inbuilt resistance to ebola so it won't be that bad if it does come over here.
taxman
Yawn, wasn't there a big scare about bird flu a few years ago? Maybe the human population needs culling once in a while to stop us destroying the planet.
