Why our boycott campaign against Israel makes sense #BDS

Recommended Posts

Hardly.

Go away and do your own research.

There is an Intel plant in Israel and it provides 10% of that country's exports, but as a proportion of the world's PC components, they are not significant.

You may want to look at the numbers.

Intels modern CPU's are made on a 22nm process, and there are only three fabs in the world making them. These are similar sizes, and Fab28 at Kiryat Gat is one of them - if you have a PC with an Intel processor then you have a 33% chance it's fabricated in Israel. Most of the R&D work for the last two generations of processors were also done in Israel.

Well said.

And look who started this thread... what a surprise.

Looks suspiciously like... Lets divert averyones attention away from the hamas breach of the ceasefire and everything else the loonier muslims are doing in the middle east.

Lacking the required level of gullibility I will not be supporting such a clearly contrived anti-semitic boycott of israeli products until the conflict with hamas has ended and israel announces that it will not be working towards improving the lot of the citizens of gaza or it fails to agree to do so.

And given that gaza is one of if not the most densely populated area of the world and can scarcely feed itself is it not time they examined their own attitudes to birth rate and immigration. They owe that to themselves unless they actually want to reach a people density that is past the saturation point.

Rockets were fired by Hamas after the ceasefire had ended as there was no agreement to an extension= http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-28699741

You Israeli agents keep trying to spread your misinformation about but the games up, the majority of the world has seen the Israeli terrorist state in action.

Israel won't be seeing "a period of quiet" for a while yet.

Sorry to burst your bubble but hamas broke the ceasefire ... as expected.

Read my post in the other thread .. it responds to your post and covers this one too.

'Israel won't be seeing "a period of quiet" for a while yet.'

I used to be an Israeli agent but I have given up.

I was under the impression that if I just said supportive things about Israel, then these cheques would come in the post.

but even though I did say supportive things about Israel, the cheques didn't come in the post like I thought they would, so after a few weeks, I quit.

so sod Israel.

- if you have a PC with an Intel processor then you have a 33% chance it's fabricated in Israel......

This is simply not true.

Even if it were it would support the fact that it is statistically unlikely that you have Israeli components in your computer.

Why is it not true?

Even if it were it would support the fact that it is statistically unlikely that you have Israeli components in your computer.

Define unlikely then?

I never said that it was going to be more likley than not btw. I do assert though that a 25% chance or thereabouts (we have to account for AMD) is a significant amount, unlike the claim that was made that the amount would be insignificant.

You've heard of the #Gaza blockade, of course, but what does it REALLY mean for people who live there?

I hope that's not true, I pay my taxes to pay for an NHS to treat people in the UK, not to fund nurses and medics being sent off anywhere.
