Plug Posted August 13, 2014 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Entertainment Sheffield (entS1) brings you Gig Tripper. Gig Tripper gives local bands the opportunity to tour beyond their own city. Leading the charge will be garage rock ‘n’ roll three piece The Rusbies. Their brand of dirty scuzzy grunge blues punk is driven by primal drums and fuelled with lyrics about anti-social behaviour orders. Grimey. Next up are Good Foxy. Think heavy swingin’ beats and creeping basslines combining beneath gloriously gliding layers of guitar haze. This lot have made an art form out of fusing stoner rock with deep rooted blues and rock sensibilities. Upcoming electronic indie band Resonate will also be taking to Plug’s stage, along with solo artist Johnjo Keen. Johnjo has created a truly original sound, mixing mellow trance, dubstep and drum ‘n’ bass with live guitar and piano samples. It has to be heard to be believed.
