rinty
I bought a couple of books last summer for a walking holiday in Scotland which I found very useful. I wanted to teach my son how to read a map and navigate an also refresh my very rusty memory. These were pretty good. Book 1 Book 2 Both covered the same basic info, but I like to get references from more than one book.
Ollie
Hi Joanne, Just thought i'd add my two pence worth..... For endurance walking I would definately recomend "Lowa" boots. They are military type but believe me Ive tried all sorts of boots and found these to be comfortable, light and reliable. They sell them in Barnsley, I think its called Barnsley Outdoor Centre funnily enough Honestly just try some compared to say Scarper and you'll realise the weight differance! Hope that helps
