foxy lady
The title of this thread is quite provocative... It seems to be implying that CR is *definately* not guilty and that therefore the victim is *definately* just making it up. Until the police have finished their investigations, I don't think we should jump to any conclusions. Yes, it's innocent until proven guilty, but when a victim of sexual violence comes forward (not an easy thing to do) we should not immediately gang up against them and disbelieve them simply because they're accusing a celeb. -- Peace out, Max It is innocent until proven guilty so we don't know if a victim has come forward at all. Maxisen
It is innocent until proven guilty so we don't know if a victim has come forward at all. The news has reported that the alleged victim - rather than a third party - was the one who came forward to the police and made the accusations of abuse. So until we know whether a crime has been committed we don't know if there is a victim or a perpertrator.
Anna B
It is innocent until proven guilty so we don't know if a victim has come forward at all. Someone has come forward accusing CR of abuse, (I think in the context of this forum you're splitting hairs a bit with regards terminology.) The police have listened and responded. Halibut
One interesting development is that IF old cliff has done anything he could be prosecuted for any evidence found in the search of his house it seems would now be considered to be inadmissible evidence. So effectively the SYP have practically guaranteed him immunity for anything that relies on evidence from that particular property. Not saying he has or hasn't done anything illegal. Just looking at a possible consequences of the search. . . Says who?..... ---------- Post added 22-08-2014 at 21:08 ---------- To be summoned before MPs. Who do these MPs think they are? MP's?...........
Anna B
To be summoned before MPs. Who do these MPs think they are? My point exactly. Until they too are prepared to have their own shady dealings receive the light of transparancy they are in no position to judge others.
Tommo68
Says who?..... Its not hard to look these things up and then draw sensible inferences from them. http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/local/police-raid-criticised-by-qc-1-6796169 ................................................................................................................................................................... I am wondering though how long it will be before old cliff has a new record release, or biography. Maybe his friend come man-friday will write a biography of his own. Can't really imagine any celeb failing to cash in on publicity in some way. .
cgksheff
Its not hard to look these things up and then draw sensible inferences from them. You used the words "would" and "guaranteed". Mr Robertson used the words "may" and "could". Quite a bit of difference there, and I would suggest too soon to jump to any conclusions.
