EmmaJNation
Did you go to Wisewood Secondary/Comprehensive/School and Community Sports College? If so, a grand reunion has been organised for all who attended the school between 1933 and 2011. It will be held at The Cutlers Hall, Church St., Sheffield on Saturday 4 October 2014, between the hours of 7.30pm and 12.30am. There'll be live bands, bar, disco and reminiscences galore! Admission is £6.50 per person. We are limited to a maximum of 500 people and tickets will be on a first come first served basis. A Wisewoodians Web page has been set up to enable payments to be made and this can be accessed by contacting me for a link (I can't post website links to the forum, yet!) or looking on Facebook for the Wisewoodians group The important issues to note are as follows: 1. No partners are allowed (unless a fellow Wisewoodian). 2. Multiple tickets may be purchased on behalf of Wisewoodians who do not have internet access, on the understanding the purchaser adds all names of the attendees plus the years they attended the school. The "add" icon for this is located directly below the box which asks for your e-mail address and phone number. Requests for an excessive number of tickets will be declined. 3. Please print off your PayPal receipt as proof of payment. NO TICKETS WILL BE ISSUED. We will compile a (school) register and tick people off on arrival. YOU CANNOT PAY ON THE DOOR! So, if your name’s not down you can't come in! 4. You DO NOT need a PayPal account to pay. Simply enter either your credit or debit card details in the relevant box. 5. There will be no food provided during the evening. Please eat either before or after the event. 6. Due to the payment schedule we have agreed with The Cutlers Hall, once payment has been received we are unable to give any refunds whatsoever. Please follow the steps and click away!! We look forward to welcoming all Wisewoodians to The Cutlers Hall on what we hope will be a truly memorable and enjoyable evening Edited September 1, 2014 by EmmaJNation

King_bovril
is it formal attire? ;-)
EmmaJNation
No, there's no dress code, but I'm sure if you went in school uniform, it would really be appreciated. If only for the amusement value! ;-)
King_bovril
Ha. In guessing that even if I still had it, it may be a tad tight around the waistband. ;-) obviously from material shrinkage. :-)

EmmaJNation
Well, it was a fantastic evening due in no small part to the efforts of Deb Jacobs and Adrian Hodgkinson. Big thanks to them and everyone else who helped, performed on stage, or just turned up!

EmmaJNation
Anyone any memories of Alan Goodfellow, headmaster in the late 50s till he retired in 1967? A bit before my time, but I found a staff photo with Mr Goodfellow on (and can't post the link here ) Also, if you're on Facebook, there's several people from that era in the 'Wisewoodians' group.
