Rotherham Labour Party pull out of Rotherham Show.

Recommended Posts

I,ve said it for years, if the Labour Party in Rotherham took a photo of a pile of dog poo and stuck a red rosette on it and the fielded a candidate named Mr D Ogturd, the Labour supporters in Rotherham would vote for it.

And LeMaquis clearly thinks that people not voting for Mr D Ogturd must be insane.

Thats because their dad voted labour and their grandad voted Labour . This is why so many northern towns and cities are light years behind the rest of the country. Hanging on to socialism is killing places where Labour are still running the councils. The problem is the mindset of a lot of the voters in northern areas,

But why do you think that is. Tory governments killed every industry that employed a large percentage of folk in northern towns, while concentrating almost all redevelopment on the south of England. Current Tory governments have no interest in investing in the North either. Why would anyone vote them in!

The Conservatives do offer a sane alternative but the insane electorate aren't interested, don't forget that round here Margret Thatcher is responsible for everything that ever went wrong or will go wrong for the next 100 years.
That's true and it applies to all of South Yorkshire.

Trouble is the Conservatives have completely given up. They don't campaign here at all.

That in turn has made South Yorkshire Labour complacent and its turned into this inept corrupt croniesm monster that has destroyed Donny, Rotherham and seen Sheffield stagnate.

It'd be nice if the central Labour hierarchy would intervene but they either don't realise how bad the people representing them are around here, or they don't care.

Meanwhile UKIP are licking their lips.

I'm giving the show a miss despite having attended for many years.

Pity Jomie - the show will be the "loser" and maybe you. Won't make any difference to the politicians!

Same with South Wales and Tyneside Penistone. Always vote Labour, come what may!

Labour voters also have very short memories so they will have forgotten all about the scandals. :)

On this occasion firemanbob, I don't think the public will let them "forget" in spite of their short memories!

Clearly the brand of Labour in Rotherham is corrupt and complacent and has nothing but contempt for the people of Rotherham. For the sake of people in Rotherham Labour NEED to lose their grip.

Just a shame that UKIP are the ones most likely to profit.

Why "a shame" Jonny5?:confused::confused:

When I was talking about places being more civilised and intelligent I certainly wasn't thinking about Rotherham.

You're a bit hard on Rotherham aren't you Le Maquis?

Well I don't live in the cutting edge of intellectualism that is Rotherham. The last time I voted Labour at a general election was in the last century.

Maybe it's developed an unfair reputation recently.
