SAM AVERY

Sam Avery wanted to be a rock star. It nearly happened.

Despite being signed up by BMG Records at the age of 17 (he had to resign from his beloved paper round), and subsequent tours with Motorhead and Ice T, the story soon took a familiar turn. Contracts were anulled, money was stolen and before he knew it he was back at the paper shop asking for his fluorescent bag back. He had crap hair anyway.

Subsequent jobs (including a brief stint as a stockbroker) failed to excite him the way the smell of sweat and snakebite had and it wasn't long before he turned to stand-up.

Friendly and enthusiastic, his observational style instantly puts audiences at ease allowing him to regale them with his tales of everyday life.

Sam has gained a reputation for being able to spark the dullest of rooms into life with his warm, infectious humour and quick wit which makes him ideal as either an act or compere.

ROBYN PERKINS

Robyn draws on her life as an American in the UK to compare cultural differences and to share stories of debauchery. She works with the audiences in a friendly, chatty style and creates an honest, crude, and entertaining depiction of her life. Her charm and innocence juxtapose the subject matter at hand, resulting in a truly unique performance.

Robyn started stand-up towards the end of 2011 and is now performing in clubs in london and across the UK. Her confidence on stage and the complexity in her routine yield a performance beyond her experience.

"Brilliantly inspired American delivering a stream of extremely funny and very complex jokes. Robyn is a consummate professional & her performance, although intricate, seemed effortless." - Creative Cow Comedy Club

DALISO CHAPONDA

Daliso began his comedy career in Canada with the acclaimed one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. Following this, he began honing his craft in comedy clubs across Canada. Highlights included appearing on the Trans Canada Comedy Trail TV show and performing a One-Man character comedy about a torturer entitled 'Incisions'.

Before leaving Canada Daliso appeared in the 2005 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and he used this exposure to secure an agent in South Africa. After 6 months touring the South African comedy scene he moved to England. He regularly appears in comedy clubs and theatres across the UK. He is a versatile comedian and in one week performed a filthy set in Silhouettes Strip Club in Birmingham and then, two days later, did an all-ages one hour show about faith and family in the 2007 Greenbelt Christian Festival. 'Everything is funny,' he told a reporter from iafrica.com. 'Why restrict yourself?'

Daliso has also been known to jump on planes and tell jokes anywhere on the globe (even on the planes - whether the passenger next to him wants to listen or not). He has been part of the Melbourne,Edinburgh and Cape Town Festivals.

In 2011 Daliso Chaponda grew frustrated with the fact that he was better known outside Africa than so he began a project called 'Laughrica'. He launched a one man show in Malawi and followed it up with appearances in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Nigeria.

Daliso has also performed in countries as diverse as Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka to Jordan, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland, Romania and the Czech Republic.

Daliso also continues to dominate the African comedy scene. He recently performed in front of over two thousand people at the Stand-Up Africa concert in Johannesburg, South Africa as well as also recently performing at the sell-out Presidents Of Laughrica shows in Malawi.

In addition to Stand up Comedy, Daliso is also a prolific fiction writer. He has also published science fiction, murder mysteries, erotica, literary fiction, religious fiction and fantasy fiction in numerous magazines and anthologies. In 2002 he was a finalist in the L. Ron Hubbard Writer’s of the Future Contest and in 2006 he was short listed for the Carl Brandon Society Award.
