bluesbrother
The sportsman always does the pre/after gig parties for the rock bands at city hall If the whole city hall crowd could fit into a single pub, it wouldn't be much of a gig would it! The more venues keeping the vibe, the better IMHO. BB.

LeMaquis
Was anyone in the Mulberry the night Clapton played there? It wouldn't have been much of an audience if there hadn't been.
Alan Ladd
It wouldn't have been much of an audience if there hadn't been. Very good! It does surprise me that it never gets mentioned, he was there with Georgie Fame who was appearing at the Fiesta and McGuiness of McGuiness Flint (Heart on my sleeve). Apparently The landlord at the time was a friend of Claptons. They were all as drunk as skunks but a guitar appeared and we were provided with about half a dozen blues songs for free. Alan Ladd
Ive just remembered, this was the night Georgie Fame was top of the bill at the Fiesta, he was due to go on at midnight, the landlord of the Mulberry , once he realized, tried to sober him up, but he was too far gone. Apparently he went on stage, sang one song, fell off the stool and they stopped the show!
