tzijlstra Posted September 10, 2014 Share Posted September 10, 2014 Near enough a nice town to have access to decent facilities, far enough from the next neighbour to be able to run around naked, with a nice bit of land, half an acre or so and views of mountains or sea in front. Candidates: Perthshire, Western Ross near Ullapool, North West Wales, certain parts of the Peaks. Other candidate countries, Austria, switzerland, Norway, Canada, New Zealand. Alternative option - big apartment in a global city that is still manageable. taxman Posted September 10, 2014 Share Posted September 10, 2014 I've been on holiday to so many places I've felt I wanted to live in but living somewhere is different from going on holiday. Reykjavik, Dunedin, Buenos Aires, Vancouver, Victoria, Edinburgh, York, Whitby have all made me want to live there but ask a resident of those places and they might tell you they'd rather live somewhere else.
