Ramayana
might be an idea to let people know which area of town you'll be starting at as a few different bus routes spring to mind depending on the direction you're coming from.

naps
Get on the number 30 from West St, this will take you right to the Toby Carvery Pub at Parkhead for £1.50. Get off there, then ask the first person you see, it is only a minutes walk away.

pete_jim
Don't forget that the woods are divided by Whirlowdale Road, a large expanse of Ecclesall Woods are between Whirlowdale Road and Dore Road. Easily accessed across from Beauchief Gardens. 97 Bus from town get off at Beauchief Gardens (pronounced Beechif).
