Super Hans
What's the point in any personalisation of your car then? What's the point in non stock alloy wheels? What's the point in window stickers saying you're a member of the RSP-bloody-B? What's the point in choosing a colour? It's just an element of personalisation and if you personalise your car in any way but think those who personalise reg plates are vain then you're an idiot. bowie1867
Yeah, that Bentley with the private registration carrying the executives visiting my work this week was definitely chavvy Probably a hire car if not they were not born into money, people who are minted from birth don't need a private NP to prove what their 'worth' or to show to other people what they've got - 'true class' is silence kid! ANGELFIRE1
"What's the point of having a personalised number plate?" No point. Vanity is the reason. Angel1.

True Class has nothing to do with it. According to this the queen has a private plate = http://www.platemaster.com/facts_famous_number_plates.asp It also lists other plates owned by famous people including Sir Alan Sugar.
