monkey104
One of our local hairdressers has DG05 LNG - it was probably bought and not just landed on his car, and to those who know him reads as his surname. (if you read it quick and squint through one eye) Dugling???
Bonzo77
Regular number plates? Try pulling a stunt like that round my yard and watch the Christmas drinks invitations dry right up! ^^^^ A better reason than any to keep your regular plates! willman
Its a "look at me I've got my own number plate" there's just no point to it whatsoever. Thats an opinion OF some people, just like people who buy big cars, bigger houses and bigger tv's.
PeteMorris
Dugling??? Dog Sling? I have no idea....which is really my point. It's the ones which are so tenuous that nobody knows anyway...or at least ain't particularly obvious.
Mr Bloke
Thats an opinion OF some people, just like people who buy big cars, bigger houses and bigger tv's. Maybe... ... but all of those things have a practical use. Just what exactly is the practical use of a personalised plate?
PeteMorris
Maybe... ... but all of those things have a practical use. Just what exactly is the practical use of a personalised plate? I have seen some on lorries or vans, which are obviously a corporate thing...I 'get' that...
rossyrooney
There are some really good ones running around, has anyone else seen the Land Rover that goes around Sheffield with the plate ...R8 PAL ...?
Alcoblog
Just what exactly is the practical use of a personalised plate? For many, it covers the rust patch behind it.
Mr Bloke
I have seen some on lorries or vans, which are obviously a corporate thing...I 'get' that... Yeah, me too. Like Mr Sugar announces his arrival with AMS 1. Whether you think that's a good thing or not, everyone knows it's him when he passes. But having a tenuous connection to someone's name that is only possible to be worked out if you know the person or have to squint and cover one eye is just sad. It's like announcing to the world that you want to be noticed but never quite made it.
