NorthernSoul
am i right in saying that 'nirmals' is the only true 'Indian' restaurant in Sheffield? the rest are of Pakistani/Bangladeshi origin i think. maybe i am wrong?
Ramayana
Friends, I had the opportunity to visit the Indian Restaurant,Balti King in Broomhill with my family and was damn impressed by the food out there. It was very good, much better than other places that I have tried in Sheffield and their service was very impressive.Kudos to that place and the staff. Will be going there once again . as has been said before there is a thread on the balti king at the moment that is current. were you wasted when you went 'cos i thing i would have to be dragged kicking and screaming to eat there? don't fancy the idea of seconds. (could've been on someone else's plate before). let alone bad bad curries that can't be improved by bringing out the salt and pepper shakers! is your name tony and do you wear a crown on your head? are you sure you weren't drugged with good 'ol 'untruth serum'? works some of the time i believe with BK ( Bl***y Krap (sic)) customers. Randy Savage
Isn't BK owned by the same people as Millenium take away a bit down the road? Wasn't Millenium the place that was serving uncooked chiken to it's customers (article in the Telegraph) i read that an individual bit into a piece of chicken and blood ran from it... over his face. Yuck. Sooner these sh*t holes get closed won the better... Balti King, Millenium etc... http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1703

D2J
The Ranmoor Tandori is in my opinion one of the best Indian Restaurants I've been to - excellent value for money, friendly staff and BYO. Definately the Ranmoor Tandoori. Indian Chef in Crookes is pretty decent. Nirmals on West Street is expensive but delicious. Went to Khan's on West Street for the first time the other night. Very nice but a bit too oily for my liking. The Keema Naan was to die for
