stpetre
I was talking in my local about shaving (blades etc) and a bloke (aged about 65) said when he uses double edge blades, after a few shaves he turned them upside down and they still gave a close shave, thus virtually doubling the life of the blade. I never thought of that (is that just me ?) and for me, it works ! Edited April 7, 2017 by stpetre Add
seanj97
You can actually reuse the Gillette fusion razors (the razors with expensive replacement heads) by running the blade along denim fabric (e.g. a pair of jeans). Gently do 10 strokes upwards and 10 strokes downwards. There's a few videos online, works for me, been using the same razor head for 2 months now. TORONTONY
i agree real men use Bic, I have used disposable razors for years,, including bic, sometimes getting up to 10 shaves per razor. Why people spend a ton of money on fancy razors, I well never know.
Mikes10
Here are a couple of links to YouTube videos for extending the life of a razor, as someone pointed out in a previous post there are quite a few out there, so as from today I'm trying the soft soap method and aiming for a month of use from just one razor. davyboy
For those who wet shave I can recommend the shaving gel from Wilko. It's cheaper even than Tesco, 95p for a 200ml aerosol can.

I always used to use ordinary soap and I found it to be as good as shaving cream but oh dear, Desperate Dan used to shoot his whiskers off.
