English 8-ball pool singles league

Hi All,

 

I'm trying to start an internal singles pool league played from Rileys, Hunters Bar.

 

I'm thinking the format would be something like 10 or so players divided into two groups. Each week you would play a best of 10 match against another opponent and each frame won would equal 1 point.

 

A league table would be set-up and at the end of 10 weeks, each group, based on rankings would play off against each other for a final prize pot (TBD).

 

All match tables would be on free play for practice before and after matches, up until closing.

 

I'm still not sure about the day of the week but currently thinking Wednesday or Thursday would be a good one to choose?

I'd definitely be up for something like this.

 

Looking to get back into pool and really struggling to find any competitions/leagues around Sheffield.

That sounds a good idea. I would like to play competitively but i'm not brilliant so would prefer to play singles. A mate of mine was saying just other day he would like to play competetive pool as well.
