Nagel
No one mentioned The Chequers in Froggatt. I haven't been for a couple of years, but it's always been good. Example menu here - http://www.chequers-froggatt.com/chequers_menu.pdf Probably too expensive for most Sheffield people.
Sheridan1-0
Some people consider that filthy joint to be in the deepest wilderness and return to the wild after being out that way for 5 minutes. They need a search party sent out after them. Once went into the Wheatsheaf at Parkhead which was more or less at the bottom of road where my sister lived. There was some monkey at the bar, he was around 60, had a white shirt on undone the navel, suntan and more gold and hair that you could shake a tree at. He was shouting at the bar staff because it was full and this old women told him to shut up chav. Classic! Filthy joint?...... Deepest wilderness?.... Its not to your taste then?? Back9Kev
We eat out a fair bit and the Rose and Crown at Barlborough is our favourite by a good distance Main courses are reasonably priced (£8-12 other than steak) and served with a silver salver of vegetable options plus a large bowl of hand cut home made chips. Starters and desserts tasty and ample Have recommended to a number of friends who have all come away with the same opinion This is for the evening menu in the restaurant and not sure about lunchtime bar snacks
