SportsTrophy
I think there should be a Sheffield Forum Tax for people who post stupid questions and waste peoples time.
RootsBooster
How on Earth has the thread got this far? How widespread is this epidemic of ignorance and/or misunderstanding of what vehicle excise duty is?

Sorry RootsBooster this thread is about Road Tax which has not existed since 1937 but don't expect SF members to know that.
Doom
I reckon £100/wheel per year would be fair. It would encourage more to use monocycles. Regards Doom

Ok ok! it's now under a different name, let's get the termanolgy police in to arrest me, and the Spelling Police while we are at it, here we go again, anybody riding driving on our roads should share the burden of paying for the roads up keep, all you Bambers pick the bones out of that. Everyone does pay for the roads upkeep! The amount of 'tax' (or duty) someone pays, depends on the vehicle they're using! That's why cycles are £0 and some cars, like the Skoda Octavia are also £0! "Since 1937 roads have been funded from general taxation with all motoring duties, including VAT, being paid directly to the Treasury." Which bit of that do you not understand? Everyone pays not just the motorist.
