Flanker7
A bit off subject - I've heard that when holding your breath its the increased C02 that make you give up not the lack of oxygen. And If you slowly exhale throughout the exercise you last longer. (not technically holding your breath) AND when swimming with your face in the water you can't cheat, you get better at it with practice and it is an excellent way of improving you smooth, efficient stroke style. I do 25 metres in 16/17 front crawl strokes. R u gonna try it now ;0)
aliceBB
I've just read it, he gets attacked by an octopus halfway through the tunnel. After a three minute ferocious battle he realises it was simply a piece of rogue kelp and swims onto to victory. jb Through the Tunnel Doris would be interested by that, I'm sure! Solomon1
A bit off topic maybe but I once had to retrieve something from the bottom of our fish tank which made me have to plunge my arm shoulder deep into the water; doing this gave me a strange sensation in my lungs, like a slight breathlessness. I do wonder whether that is normal. You probably contracted the upper part of your lung field by compressing your first rib alan Wouldn't worry about it ---------- Post added 11-10-2014 at 17:06 ---------- Can't hold my breath...choking with laughter...
